We would like to invite you to become a part of our annual event and we hope it will be our most successful yet. Your participation will go a long way to providing the animals at the shelter with food, warmth and medical attention. Since 1984 our goal has been to create a fun and informative event that raises both funds and awareness for the London Humane Society while building lasting relationships with members of our community. This family orientated event attracts people of all ages and backgrounds, and takes place in beautiful Greenway Park where a 5km route has been mapped out for our pledge earners. In addition to the walk itself, participants are invited to visit our event tents which house a wide array of exhibitors from the animal care industry who offer products, services and information. A showcase of entertainment includes pet trick contests, agility and canine unit demonstrations, CPR and first aid for dogs and product giveaways. Here is some basic information that you will require about event day. Bark in the Park takes place in Greenway Park. The park is off Springbank Drive between Wharncliffe Road and Wonderland Road. Take Springbank Drive to Greenside Avenue. Turn onto Greenside Avenue and the event site is past the pollution plant. You will turn right as the road forks just before the plant. Follow the LHS event signs down to the reserved parking lot by our Showmobile. The event takes place between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Many participants arrive as early as 8:30 a.m. to complete their set up before the 10 am start time for the walk.
